About Jen
From a cubicle in Philadelphia to a White House Summit stage.
Jen has worn many hats in her life: insurance underwriter, professional dancer, and founder of a nationwide charity. This journey took her from a desk job to a White House Summit guest, and includes a flag flown in her honor in Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan.
Her work has been featured on ABC, KUSI, and the CW, as well as the San Diego Union Tribune. Jen was invited to attend the inaugural White House Summit on The United State of Women as a Changemaker. She has also been a nominee for "Woman of the Year" by San Diego Magazine and "Women Who Mean Business" by the San Diego Business Journal, received the Inspiration Award from the Center for Wealth & Legacy, and was recognized for Outstanding Service by the California State Senate.
As Founder of Soldiers Who Salsa, she grew a dance therapy nonprofit to 22 locations nationwide and brought Salsa Night to deployed troops in Afghanistan. Then her health collapsed, her organization folded, and she was left asking the question that changed everything: if I'm no longer the Founder, the leader, the Executive Director, who am I?
Throughout her rollercoaster life, Jen has learned the difference between what it means to be successful and what it means to be happy. A trained improv performer and lifelong Broadway aficionado, she brings genuine vulnerability and comedic timing to every stage. She is best known for her talks on gratitude, resilience, and reinventing yourself in an ever-changing world. Audiences enjoy her interactive presentation style and leave feeling motivated to take action.
"Jen communicates a powerful life affirming message with equal parts humor and humility. I left feeling inspired and empowered."
